About the challenge
Hack the Weather 2026 is an online innovation hackathon under the theme “From Data to Impact.” Participants will use real-time environmental data from JKUAT’s Conduit Weather Station to explore ideas and build technology-driven solutions to real-world challenges.
The challenge is open to young innovators affiliated with JHUB Africa, working in teams. Participants are encouraged to apply skills in data science, AI, software development, visualization, and other technologies to creatively transform data into meaningful solutions.
The Conduit is part of a wider JKUAT–SPACE-SI initiative combining environmental sensing, space technologies, and digital models to support understanding of water, environment, and climate resilience.
